Yianni Kourakis is an award-winning sports anchor, reporter, and announcer with nearly two decades of experience covering the biggest events in sports. From Super Bowls and World Series to Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, and the NCAA Tournament, Yianni has witnessed legendary moments and interviewed the iconic athletes that made them. 

Yianni had a front-row seat to the golden age of Boston sports, including the  New England Patriots dynasty with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at the helm. Yianni hosted pre-game and post-game shows in New England and reported live from four Super Bowls. While working in South Florida, he covered the Florida Panthers three straight trips to the Stanley Cup Final, including back-to-back championships. In the booth, Yianni has done play-by-play and color analyst work on ESPN+ for college basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer. He was voted Sportscaster of the Year in Rhode Island and Virginia at previous stops in his career.

As a former adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island, Yianni created and taught two sports broadcasting courses for the Harrington School of Communication. As an avid sports media follower, he is always on the cutting edge of the latest trends in news and media.

Yianni is a proud graduate of the Phillip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland, where he graduated with honors. He lives with his wife and two children in Florida.
